Web Design

A Web Design Student’s Work

This course will equip web designers with:

  • Advanced skill in color usage, scanning, vector graphics, art manipulation, and design.
  • Exposure to graphic illustration software, web authoring software, and writing HTML.
  • An introduction to exciting new avenues of combining text, graphics, color, sound, animation, and video in multimedia production.

The course will be PC-based. Software applications covered in this course are cross-platform compatible. All student materials will be provided at the course location.

Software Training

Macromedia Dreamweaver 8

Create sites visually with this WYSIWYG tool, and then examine the code to see how it is done. Incorporate the latest web innovations such as XML, Dynamic HTML, and CSS. Import other documents into HTML without altering its code. Apply layers and use Timelines. See how easy it is to set up and manage your site.

Macromedia Fireworks 8

Streamline the steps to create graphic-rich Web sites. Design and edit bitmap and vector images, apply special effects, build buttons, add rollovers, and create an animated GIF.
