Mongolia Ministry

an open door to share the Gospel in Asia

Just 15 years ago, Mongolia was liberated from the Communist control of the former Soviet Union. At the time of its liberation, there were no known believers in the nation. Since that time, doors have opened for the Gospel to be shared throughout the nation.

In 2000, with the encouragement of Mongolian leaders, a small group of IBLP staff members and ATI students established a base in Mongolia. Opportunities to preach, disciple, teach English, reach out to orphans and abused children, teach character, and more have filled their schedules ever since.

Students with a heart to serve, teach, and minister to needy people may find Mongolia to be the mission field for them.

Ministry Overview >>

“Matthew 5:16 could be quoted as an explanation of what we do in Mongolia, because it is truly our goal to apply it. When officials ask us to spend time at the children’s shelter, or to teach principles of good character and English in the schools, we know that finding Jesus Christ as their Savior is the real answer to the problems that the Mongolian people face. What we have been given is a chance to back-up the testimony of our lips with lives of service. The practical ways in which we are serving have afforded us a much greater audience than we ever dreamed possible. After all, what more can we do than live in this land the life that every Christian should live—a life of loving service, taking every opportunity to tell others of our wonderful Lord.

“It is amazing to me that I am here in outer Mongolia, halfway around the world from all that I grew up with. When I was asked to come to this country, I had to look at a map just to locate it. I knew that it was in Asia, and I had always heard that you were sent there if you disobeyed, but other than that, I had no idea of what was in store for me. Looking back over what God has done, both in the lives of those privileged enough to be here, and in the lives of those He has brought us into contact with, I am very thankful to be here. I am even more thankful to all of those who have invested in my life, and in the lives of the Mongolian people through prayer.” —Jason Ritchie, an ATI student from Missouri
