Midwifery Program
of the Medical Training Institute of America
Enrollment Prerequisites
Single, adult women or women with grown children may apply for the Midwifery program. Due to the time required in completing these studies, we feel that mothers with younger children would not find the course schedule to harmonize with the priorities of family needs.
Applicants must complete the following prerequisites:
- Completion of courses in The Telos Institute International’s Biblical Perspectives in Health Care
by July 15. This course of study can be completed in one year.
- Introduction to Basic Life Principles (BLP 101)
- Developing a Biblical Life Purpose (BLP 102)
- Biblical Ethics in Science and Health Care — Combination Course (BSH 105)
- Introduction to Chemistry (CHEM 120)
- English Preparatory II (ENG 095)
- Introduction to Home Health Care Ministries (MIN 101)
- God’s Design for Nutrition (NUTR 101)
- Building a Medical Vocabulary (SPS 102)
- Current certification in infant, child, and adult CPR
- Completion of the MTIA Midwifery Admission Application by April 15
- Completion of the MTIA Midwifery Entrance Interview by June 15
The midwifery program is open to students who are not enrolled in the ATI program, but there are additional prerequisites for these students. For details, please contact us.
